With ThinkiFic, it feels like the platforms just guides you along your course creation process, prompting you to fill in all the information required to create a professional course. While it lacks course templates, the interface, offers full flexibility for you to create any types of courses for your online business.

To create a new course, here are the steps for ThinkiFic:

1. In your dashboard and click “Manage Learning Products” then “Course” then “+ New Course“.
2. Course creation will appear and enter your Curriculum details
3. Choose your setting and give your course a friendly URL. i.e “Marketing for Non-Marketers” or “Learn to Play Drum in 30-Days”.
4. Choose if you want to offer your content as DRIP.
5. Price your course accordingly.
6. Set your “After Purchase Flow“.
7. Once done, just click “Publish”.

Teachable

Course creation means more than just create online course content for your students, but including the other miscellaneous stuff such as page creation, course design, certificate of completion, discounts, payment gateway and course delivery.

And Teachable seems to do pretty good in this sense, giving the course creator all the things they need for creating online courses.

Coming back to the Teachable’s dashboard after some time, it seems like Teachable did a revamp on the course creation interface, and honestly it does seems a bit better than the previous time I visit. But still it doesn’t have the easiest to use design to create online course.

For one, there is too many things on the screen, making me as an course creator feeling a bit of overwhelmed, and not knowing where to start.

Maybe it is just my computer or my internet connection, when I click the different links on the left it feels the refresh is a bit glitchy. However, Teachable offers two course design templates to choose from which is a great plus.

The course creation process for Teachable involves 4 main steps.

1. Add information
2. Add curriculum
3. Add price
4. Publish course

But if you really want to get the maximum benefit of Teachable, you’ll need to utilize the range of options found on the sidebar of the the course creation platform.

Overall, I’ll say, for a new course creator using Teachable, there will be quite a steep learning curve to get used to the platform.

My Choice: ThinkiFic

Both Teachable and ThinkiFic offer great course creation experience to create your curriculum, creating your landing page, offering drip, and options to set different payment options. Furthermore both offers you the ability to create and sell unlimited courses.

Teachable have the added advantage of offering two course template for me to choose from when creating my online course, which having these templates are a great plus and make the course creation easier.

ThinkiFic while do not have course templates to choose from, it offers a seamless course creation process, making it easy for both new course creators and experienced course creators to create their course without missing out any critical details for the course.

When choosing one over the other, I personally feel that the interface for ThinkiFic is just so much better, even without course templates, the experience for course creation feels natural and simple.

ThinkiFic win this one.

My Choice: ThinkiFic

Teachable and ThinkiFic are two of the most popular platform that allow you to create highly engaging course that helps your students meet their learning goals.

• When it comes to comparing the range of features, Teachable offers more feature than ThinkiFic.
• When it comes to engaging your students and giving your students a great learning experience, I think ThinkiFic does it better.

It is good to note that both offers a generic mobile app to engage your students directly onto their mobile devices, mobile engagement is probably one of the most important, and not having the option to engage your student on their mobile is a very big disadvantage for course creator.

Having said that, the main reasons why I choose ThinkiFic over Teachable is simply because ThinkiFic offers more community building features compared to Teachable helping you to engage your students easier.

Pricing while is important it is not a definitive criteria when choosing the right platform to start. A good platform that is more expensive is often a better choice than another that is cheaper but offer average performance.
