How to Open and Fund Longbridge Singapore Brokerage Account (Beginner’s Guide)

Opening a new Long Bridge Singapore Account only takes you less than 5 minutes to complete. As we are opening our account with Longbridge, I’m creating a step by step guide for beginners to create your new account with Longbridge Singapore.
PS. Yes, I too have opened an account on Longbridge Singapore, and from my experience, the first impression and their customer service is just amazing! (So much better than most other “established” brokerage I’ve tested!)

How to Set Up A Longbridge Securities Account For New Users in Singapore (3-Step)
- Step 1: Sign Up for a New Longbridge Account

Step 1: Sign Up for a New Longbridge Account
Sign up for a Longbridge account using this link.
You will be redirected to the Long Bridge sign-up page.
PS: You will get an exclusive sign-up rewards when you use our IB’s link.
Now, scroll down to the bottom if you are accessing using the Special Link and click on the “Register Now” or click on the “Open Account” button on the Longbridge Website to continue your sign-up.
You will be asked to provide your phone number for signup.
- Enter your mobile number and click “Send OTP“
- Enter your OTP and click “Login“
Once you’ve enter your valid phone number and OTP, click “Login“.
You’ll be greeted by the “Open an Account” page.
- Scroll down and click on “Open an Account“
Step 2: Filling In Your Longbridge Account Details
After you’ve confirmed your phone number and clicked on “Open an Account“, you can fill in your details to complete your account.
You can fill in your account details in one of 2 ways:
Option 1 (Recommended): Sign up with Singpass.
If you are a Singaporean or Singapore PR, you can use Singpass for your Sign-up.
Simply click “Sign-up with MyInfo” and you will get all the required information filled up for you.
Option 2: Sign up Manually.
If you are a foreigner residing in Singapore, or for some reason why you don’t want to use your Singpass (I seriously can’t think of any), you can enter your details manually as well.
Once you’ve entered all your details, you will be greeted by the “Review and Confirm” page.
Here you can check your details that you’ve entered:
- Full name as per your NRIC
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Singapore Address
- Etc.
Once you’ve checked all your details, click “Next” and “Submit“.
Confirming all the details and the information, you can click on the “Confirm” button, and you’re done!
- Wait for 3 to 4 working days as Longbridge reviews your account.
From my own experience, it takes less than 1 day to complete
- I made the application on Saturday night at 11.48 pm
- My account is available on the very next day, which is on a Sunday at 10.26 am. (Pretty fast, I would say)
Longbridge will confirm with you on your successful account opening, and you will receive a WhatsApp message from their dedicated customer service.
Now, you can start Downloading the Longbridge Mobile Trading App to get started.
Step 3: Funding Your Longbridge Account
After you’ve done that, it is time for you to get serious and start funding your account.
There are many ways for you to fund your account:
- DDA (Popular): Link your Longbridge Account with your OCBC/DBS/POSB/UOB account for instant deposit
- Bank Transfer: Direct bank transfer (FAST)
- PayNow: Use PayNow to fund your account
- Telegraphic Transfer or Bank Account Transfer: Only if you are depositing HKD or USD
Once you’ve selected your option, you can start making your fund transfer.
Make your first deposit by opening your Longbridge Trading App.
- Click on “Portfolio.”
- Click on “Deposit” to top up your Longbridge brokerage account
Or you can click on “Transfer” if you are transferring stocks into Longbridge from other brokerage accounts.
After you’ve clicked on “Deposit“, you can choose which way you want to top up your Longbridge Account.
- Paynow: QR Code
- DDA: Instant Deposit (My Favorite)
- Internet Banking Transfer: FAST or SWIFT
- Wise Transfer: FAST or SWIFT
Personally, I prefer “Instant Deposit via DDA“; it is free, instant, and the most convenient.
“Instant Deposit via DDA” will let you link to your local bank DBS/POSB.
After your linking is successful (usually within 1 business day), you can start making your account funding.
Once your account is funded, you can get started and invest using Longbridge platform for trading and buying stocks.
Longbridge Securities offers you the option to invest using both their Longbridge Trading App (Android and iOS), Longbridge Pro Software (Microsoft and Mac), Open API, or even Web Trade.
